Using Adobe applications on your home computer

This article outlines the temporary arrangements we have put in place to enable students and staff to access Adobe applications from their own devices.

Please note that this arrangement is only temporary

Currently, the agreement lasts until 31st May 2020 (although it may be withdrawn earlier, or extended – we’ll update if we hear anything).

System requirements

A number of Adobe Applications work best on high spec computers. To see if your personal device is capable of supporting the different applications, see the System Requirements page on Adobe’s website.

You will also require admin privileges to install software on your device (if it’s your own computer, this is normally the account that you login to the device with).

What do I have to do?

In order to facilitate full access to all Adobe Applications, we’ll need to set up a special Adobe account for you.

As there are well over a thousand students and staff at Trinity Laban who are eligible for this Adobe offer, and as we need to set up accounts for each, we’re only granting access to people who opt in (it frees up time to do other important things at the moment).

Therefore, there are 3 steps you’ll need to go through before you are using Adobe Applications on your own device(s):

  1. Request access by filling in an online form,
  2. Wait for the request to be approved, and reset/create an Adobe password for this special account,
  3. Download required apps.

1. Request access

Please fill in the form below (or if doesn’t load, follow this link which opens in a new window: Link to online form). Please note that you will need to login to your Trinity Laban account to access this.

Please ensure you use your Trinity Laban email address.

2. Be patient and check your inbox

We’ll manually create accounts between the hours of 9am and 4pm (Monday to Friday), and let you know when we have. You’ll receive two emails, one from Adobe asking you to set/reset your Adobe password (please follow this and make sure you remember your password – it should be different to your Trinity Laban password), and one from us confirming that the account has been set up.

If you do not receive the password reset email from Adobe within 15 minutes of receiving the confirmation from us, please let us know.


3. Download the required apps

  1. Visit https://creativecloud.adobe.com,

  2. Enter your Trinity Laban email address in the email field,
  3. If prompted, select Company or School Account and then enter the Adobe password you set up.

  4. From the Creative Cloud website, browse for and download your desired app. Click Apps on the top of the page to view all apps.
